Hi, I'm Durdana Shakir. I'm an instructional designer and e-Learning developer with 0ver 20 years experience in K12 and post secondary education. 

My philosophy is that learning should not be dreadful or feared. Learning should be embraced and my goal is helping people learn.

Working in traditional and virtual classrooms has afforded me many opportunities to identify performance gaps, improve upon curricula and create effective and engaging learning experiences.

As an adjunct instructor, I have curated complex course content to develop course outcomes that enable students to successfully meet course competencies. Addressing the needs of each student, I collaborate with faculty and  implement best in class instructional strategies that center on adult learning principles.

For corporate environments, my design process begins with an understanding of how to identify gaps, improve performance, and create memorable and motivational learning experiences. I  am always looking for opportunities to utilize eLearning to introduce interactivity and simple gamification activities that aid learners.
